QIC-02 Tape Host Adapter
Made by COMPAQ in 1989
this card has a 50-pin connector that looks like SCSI
but it IS NOT SCSI,
qic-02 is not a tape format, it is a controller standard,
(just like SCSI says absolutely nothing about the tape size or format)
your vintage QIC-02 tape drive is probably a half height 1/4" cartridge drive
that most likely has a "card-edge" or 36-pin external "D" type connector
Most such drives were made by Tecmar and are small capacity,
perhaps 10MB - 60MB?
although this card is made by Compaq it is a very simple and non-intelligent card
that is completely configurable by jumpers and will
therefore almost certainly work with non-compaq QIC-02 drivers and/or software
